Please read the specific terms and conditions and the privacy statement below and also our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy (collectively the "Open 4 Website Terms") as they apply to your use of the Open 4 Website.

  • You may only complete the Open 4 online learning modules and submit your assessment percentage score once in any two month period.

  • TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING CONTAINED WITHIN THE OPEN 4 WEBSITE. NEITHER CHANNEL 4 NOR ITS SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES OR THIRD PARTY PARTNERS, ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY (WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHER ACTION) FOR ANY LOSS CAUSED BY YOUR USE OF THE OPEN 4 WEBSITE WHETHER THIS IS CAUSED BY CHANNEL 4 OR ANY THIRD PARTY. THIS EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES CHANNEL 4'S OR YOUR LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OR FOR FRAUD OR FOR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

  • Channel 4 reserves the right to cancel or amend these terms and conditions at its sole discretion and without notice.

  • Each provision of these terms and conditions shall be construed separately and shall remain in full force and effect if for any reason any other terms are held invalid or unenforceable.

  • These terms and conditions (and any non-contractual matters of whatever nature arising in connection with these terms and conditions are governed by English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Open 4 Privacy Statement

  • To complete the Open 4 learning modules and assessments, you must be registered with and logged in to your Channel 4 account. Channel 4’s use of the personal information that you provide in order to register with Channel 4 is set out in our Privacy Policy which is available here

  • We collate all application responses in a secure file which contains the unique user ID that is generated by Channel 4 when you register with us (the "GUID") of each applicant, the assessment percentage score and the answers to the free text questions. You are requested to submit your Name, City, E-mail address and Date of Birth with your Open 4 submission. This information is collected to enable 4Talent to share targeted information with you on upcoming 4Talent opportunities. You will be able to unsubscribe from this service at any time by e-mailing a request to 4talent@channel4.co.uk. Channel 4 stores all of this sensitive personal information securely and will not share it with anyone.

  • We also ask users to fill out an equal opportunities monitoring form, which contains questions about your Ethnic origin, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Religion, Social Mobility and whether or not you have any disabilities. The equality monitoring data requested will be completely anonymous (and not linked to a GUID) and we only use it for monitoring and reporting purposes and to ensure that the Open 4 is attracting a diverse range of applicants. It will not be shared and we will ensure that it is deleted after 12 months.
